3. So what about carbs?

Carbs are great! Carbs are not bad, they give our bodies the energy we need to function. Since everybody is different, some people need more carbs to function, and some people need less to function the same.

The idea that too many carbs is bad, comes from the fact that unused carbs get converted to fat, and we can gain weight if we overeat. Eating too little carbs may cause our blood sugar level to drop, and that will cause anxiety symptoms.

‘Normal” blood sugar levels are different for everybody. What might be normal for you, might be too high or too low for someone else. So if someone has anxiety symptoms due to low blood sugar, a different person with the same blood sugar level may feel perfectly fine.

Eating the right amount of carbs is key to reducing or possibly completely removing feelings of anxiety in our body.
